SUMMARY:Emergency Anaesthetic Team
DESCRIPTION:At large events supported by the Event Medicine Company (EMC) a designated team of pre-hospital care practitioners is available to deliver advanced airway interventions up to and including pre-hospital emergency anaesthesia (PHEA\,) anywhere it may be required on site or in the immediate surrounding area. \nThe Emergency Anaesthetic Team consists of 2 clinical staff\, a doctor and a nurse\, paramedic or operating department practitioner\, all of whom are trained and experienced in the provision of PHEA. The team is available for deployment when requested by anEMC asset on scene or at the request of the local statutory ambulance service. \nAt Farnborough International Airshow the Emergency Anaesthetic Team members are integrated with the Casualty Clearing Team but can be utilised independently should the need arise.
